IMPORTANT — PLEASE READ CAREFULLY: TradieRecords operates on a strict no-liability basis. By creating an account and using this service you accept full personal responsibility for your use of the platform, all data you enter or upload, and all outcomes arising from your use. You use this service entirely at your own risk.

1. Nature of the Service

TradieRecords is a personal job diary, invoicing and quoting convenience tool only. It is not, and does not claim to be, a compliance certificate generator, a producer of legally binding documents, a provider of legal, financial, tax or regulatory advice, a substitute for official documentation required by any licensing authority, or an endorsed tool of any government body or regulatory agency.

All diary entries, invoices, quotes and PDF summaries generated through TradieRecords are for your personal reference only. You remain solely and entirely responsible for obtaining all official compliance documentation and records required by your relevant licensing authority, accountant, insurer or any other party.

2. COMPLETE LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, TradieRecords, its owners, operators, directors, employees, contractors, agents and affiliates (collectively "TradieRecords") accept absolutely zero liability whatsoever for any loss, damage, claim, injury, cost, expense or consequence of any kind arising from or in any way connected to your use of, or inability to use, this platform. This includes but is not strictly limited to:

• Loss, corruption, deletion, theft or unauthorised access of any data you upload or store
• Failure to retain or preserve diary entries, photos, invoices, quotes or any other records
• Account deletion, forgotten or lost passwords, loss of access to your account
• Platform downtime, server outages, technical errors, bugs or service interruptions of any duration
• Incorrect, inaccurate, incomplete or misleading diary entries, invoices or quotes
• Any GST calculation errors, invoice errors or financial consequences arising from use of the platform
• Compliance failures, licence penalties, regulatory fines or action of any kind
• Customer disputes, legal claims by third parties, or any professional liability
• Loss of business, revenue, profits, income, contracts or goodwill of any kind
• Any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive or exemplary damages
• Any claim by any third party arising from your use of the platform
• Any data breach, cyberattack, hacking or unauthorised access by third parties
• Any outcome or consequence of any kind, regardless of whether TradieRecords was advised of the possibility of such damage

Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction with the service is to stop using it and cancel your subscription. TradieRecords' total liability to you for any claim, regardless of its nature, shall not exceed the amount you paid in the 30 days prior to the claim.

3. Your Responsibilities

You are solely and entirely responsible for:

• The accuracy, completeness and legality of all data, content and information you enter into the platform
• Ensuring you have legal authority to collect, upload and store any customer personal information, photos and signatures
• Obtaining informed consent from any customer or third party before capturing their signature, photos or personal data
• Complying with all applicable laws in your jurisdiction including privacy laws, consumer laws and trade licensing requirements
• Verifying all invoice amounts, GST calculations and financial figures with a registered accountant before use
• Maintaining your own official records separately from and independently of TradieRecords
• Downloading and backing up your data regularly — do not rely on TradieRecords as your sole record-keeping system
• The security of your account credentials and any access to your account

4. Data Storage — No Guarantee

We use Supabase infrastructure (hosted on AWS) and take reasonable steps to maintain security and availability. However, we make absolutely no guarantee, warranty or representation that your data will be stored indefinitely, free from loss, available at all times, recoverable after failure, or secure from breach or unauthorised access. All data is stored entirely at your own risk.

5. Subscriptions and Payments

Paid subscriptions are billed monthly and processed by Stripe. Subscriptions auto-renew until cancelled. Cancel anytime via the billing portal — cancellation takes effect at end of the current billing period. No refunds are provided under any circumstances including partial months, unused entries, dissatisfaction, or service interruption.

6. Service Changes and Termination

TradieRecords reserves the right to modify, suspend, discontinue or terminate the service at any time with or without notice, and is not liable to you or any third party for doing so. We may change pricing, plan limits or features at any time with reasonable notice.

7. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless TradieRecords and its operators from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the platform, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any rights of any third party.

8. No Warranties

TradieRecords is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, completeness, reliability or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free or free of viruses or harmful components.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.

Important: All data you upload to TradieRecords is stored entirely at your own risk. We take reasonable steps to secure your data but make no guarantees and accept no liability for data loss, breach or misuse. You are solely responsible for all data you upload including third-party customer information.

1. What We Collect

We collect and store information you voluntarily provide: account details (name, email, encrypted password), profile information (trade, licence number, business name, ABN, phone, state), job diary data (addresses, descriptions, customer names, phone numbers, email addresses), site photos you upload, digital customer signatures, invoice and quote data, bank details you enter, subscription status, and usage data. Card details are handled entirely by Stripe and never stored by us.

2. Your Responsibility for Uploaded Data

You are solely and entirely responsible for all data you upload to TradieRecords, including ensuring you have legal authority to collect and store any customer personal information, obtaining proper consent from customers before capturing their signature, photos or personal details, and complying with all applicable privacy laws in your jurisdiction. TradieRecords accepts no responsibility or liability for the data you upload or any consequences arising from it.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information solely to: provide and operate the TradieRecords service, process subscription payments via Stripe, pre-fill diary entries and invoices with your profile details, send essential account emails (password resets, payment receipts), and improve the platform. We do not sell, rent, share or monetise your data with any third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored using Supabase on AWS with industry-standard encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest. However, we make no guarantee that your data will be secure, available, or free from loss, corruption or unauthorised access. No online service can guarantee absolute security. You store data on TradieRecords entirely at your own risk. We accept no liability for any data breach, loss or unauthorised access regardless of cause.

5. Absolute No Liability for Data Loss

TradieRecords accepts absolutely no liability for any loss, corruption, deletion or unavailability of your data for any reason including server failure, technical errors, cyberattack, account deletion or service discontinuation. Download and save your own copies of all diary entries and invoices regularly. Do not rely on TradieRecords as your sole record-keeping system.

6. Third-Party Services

TradieRecords uses Supabase (database and authentication), Stripe (payment processing — subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy), Google Analytics (anonymous usage analytics), and Hostinger (web hosting). Each has its own privacy policy. TradieRecords is not responsible for the privacy practices of these providers.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

Your data is retained while your account is active. You may delete individual entries within the app. To request full account deletion email support@tradierecords.com — we will delete your account and data within 30 days. Once deleted, data cannot be recovered. Export your data before requesting deletion.
